Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Groupvie, a community, classifieds, and event platform. By using Groupvie, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, Safety Notice, FAQ, and Community Guidelines.
Platform role
Groupvie provides tools to post listings, discover events, chat, follow group pages, and use membership features. Groupvie is not a party to user-to-user transactions, offline meetups, item quality, organizer promises, or off-platform payments, except where required by law.
User responsibility
Users are responsible for their own listings, communications, transactions, meetups, events, and attendance decisions. Always verify identity, prices, item condition, location, event rules, and payment methods before transacting or attending.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Groupvie.
Prohibited content and activity
You may not post or promote illegal, unsafe, misleading, infringing, or harmful content, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, fake documents, sexual services, fraud, illegal jobs, gambling, malware, harassment, hate, violence, or other unlawful activity.
Moderation, reports, and enforcement
Listings may go through moderation before they become public. Groupvie may approve, request revision, hide, remove from public view, restrict accounts, or suspend users. Reports may be submitted without login; reporter email is optional; evidence images may be attached. Listings rejected or removed from public view may still be preserved as records for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or government/law-enforcement requests.
Review appeals and final administrator decisions
A user who receives a review may submit one appeal for that review through the available feature. The appeal must explain the reason and may include up to 3 evidence photos, each no larger than 1 MB. Evidence images are compressed and converted to WebP, then automatically deleted after three months. An administrator may approve or reject the appeal based on the available information. If approved, the review, star rating, and comment are removed and reputation totals are recalculated automatically. If rejected, the review remains. The administrator decision on a review appeal is final and the same review cannot be appealed again.
Higher-risk categories and verification
The listing form remains intentionally simple. However, for higher-risk categories or activity, admins may request additional verification by email after submission or publication. If a user does not meet a reasonable verification request, Groupvie may limit, hide, or downgrade that listing.
Public and private listings
Public listings may appear on Groupvie, public pages, sharing previews, and search engines. Private listings are intended to be available only to the listing owner inside the dashboard and to authorized administrators when needed. If a listing was previously public, third-party caches or archives may still retain older copies outside Groupvie's control.
Listing active period
Every listing has a 30-day active period from posting or from the start of its active period. This applies to both Public and Private listings. Groupvie may send notifications about 7 days and 3 days before a listing expires. After the 30-day period ends, the listing may disappear from display and be deleted from the database and file manager together with related images. If the user still needs the listing, the user must post a new listing again.
Events, capacity, waiting lists, and QR attendance
Organizers are responsible for event accuracy, venue permissions, safety, capacity, and attendee communication. Organizers may choose Unlimited, Max Capacity, or Max Capacity with Waiting List, and choose automatic attendee approval or organizer approval. When organizer approval is required, a user becomes Going only after approval. When Max Capacity with Waiting List is selected and the event is full, logged-in users may join the waiting list. When a place becomes available, the system may promote users in waiting-list order and send dashboard, push, and email notifications. Delivery depends on device permission, a valid email address, and server services. Attendance QR is a convenience feature and is valid from before the event starts until 6 hours after the start time. It does not mean Groupvie supervises or guarantees the event.
Membership and featured credits
Paid features, posting limits, featured credits, and membership benefits may change for operational, legal, safety, or product reasons. Credits are non-cash, non-transferable, and generally expire at the end of the active credit period. Base prices may be set in USD and displayed as a local-currency estimate based on the user’s location or locale. The local value is only an exchange-rate estimate; the payment gateway currency and final amount shown at checkout control the transaction.
Hero banners and promotional activation
Hero banners are a credit-based promotional feature. A hero banner may use a 1700 x 500 px desktop image and a 1700 x 1000 px mobile image; both versions count as the same banner. The hero banner cost is 25 credits per active day, so a 3-day run uses 75 credits and a 4-day run uses 100 credits. Credits are deducted only after an admin activates the hero banner. Rejection does not deduct credits. Admin activation only means the banner is made active/visible on Groupvie after operational review; activation is not legal approval, endorsement, guarantee, or validation of the advertiser, product, service, claim, transaction, prize, discount, or offer shown in the banner. Groupvie may reject, deactivate, preserve, or remove hero banners that appear non-compliant, risky, misleading, or problematic for legal/safety reasons. If Groupvie/admin deactivates, removes, or preserves a hero banner or featured listing before the full active period has finished, credits for unused active days/periods may be returned as new featured credits, while credits for already-used active periods are not returned.
Storage and chat retention
Chat is temporary and may be deleted automatically after about 15 days. Chat image attachments are usually deleted sooner. Users must keep their own backups of important information.
Legal and abuse contacts
General moderation matters may be routed to admin. Legal, privacy, copyright, or government matters may be routed to legal@groupvie.com. Spam, scams, abuse, or harmful-content matters may be routed to abuse@groupvie.com. These addresses are used for internal notification routing according to the issue type.
Newsletters and promotional email
Newsletters and promotional emails are sent according to the user's promotional email preference. Users can decline during registration, change the preference in Settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email. Essential account verification, payment, transaction, security, moderation, and important service emails may still be sent even when promotional email is disabled.
For new Google accounts, Groupvie displays a promotional email choice after the first login and does not treat Google OAuth consent itself as marketing consent. When enabled, an introductory series may be sent up to 7 times at intervals of approximately 4 days unless the user unsubscribes earlier.
Global Leaderboard
Groupvie may display a public Global Leaderboard containing Top Attendance, Most Active, Contributor, Organizer, and Seller rankings. Rankings are calculated for the current calendar month and reset at the beginning of the next month. Organizer results count events only after their scheduled start time has passed. Future recurring occurrences are not counted until they happen. Users whose personal profile is Private are excluded from the public leaderboard.
Changes to these Terms
Groupvie may update these Terms and related policies at any time where needed for legal compliance, safety, abuse prevention, operations, or service improvement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Groupvie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business losses arising from user content, transactions, meetups, events, third-party services, or user behavior. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Deletion of inactive accounts
Non-admin accounts that have not logged in for 2 years may be automatically disabled and deleted or anonymized. Groupvie may delay deletion when an account, listing, payment, report, dispute, investigation, fraud review, government request, or legal obligation must still be preserved. Public/private content and related files may be removed, while limited transaction, moderation, security, or legal-evidence records may be retained in pseudonymized form.
End or downgrade of paid membership
VIP allows up to 10 Group Pages, Premium 3, and Free 1. Groupvie may send reminders about 7 days, 3 days, on the expiry day, and during the recovery period. When a membership expires or changes to a lower plan, the lower-plan limits apply and the user receives a 10-day recovery period to renew, return to a higher plan, or back up data. After that period, Group Pages above the new limit are permanently deleted together with their listings, event pictures, uploaded files, and related page-administrator access. Free retains the earliest default Group Page; Premium retains the earliest three Group Pages with the default page prioritized. Custom usernames, custom Group Page links, and website/social links may be removed or reset when moving to Free. Followers-chat access is limited to 500 for Free, 3,000 for Premium, and 10,000 for VIP, keeping the earliest followers; followers above the limit remain followers but lose followers-chat access. Unused membership-granted credits above the new allowance expire after the recovery period, while separately purchased top-up credits are not removed solely because of a downgrade. Event-posting and picture-upload limits follow the new plan; existing event posts are not deleted solely because of a monthly posting limit. Users are responsible for backing up files and materials before the deadline because permanently deleted data cannot be restored.
Content-report procedure
Reports receive a receipt code and are routed as general, abuse, legal, or urgent safety matters. Groupvie may prioritize immediate-risk reports, preserve evidence, restrict content while reviewing, request additional information, record the decision, and allow an appeal where appropriate. Details are described in the Moderation and Report Policy.
Security controls
Groupvie may use rate limits, bot protection, audit logs, administrator MFA, encrypted backups, and session controls. Attempts to bypass these controls, automate abuse, falsify payment callbacks, or access another user's data are prohibited.
Change history
Version 2026.07 adds the report procedure, review-appeal process, security controls, consent records, and updated account/membership lifecycle terms.
