What is Groupvie?
Groupvie is a local classifieds, community, and event-discovery platform.
Do I need to log in to submit a report?
No. Reports can be submitted without login. Reporter email is optional, and evidence images can be uploaded.
Why does my listing not go live instantly?
Listings may go through moderation first. Admin can approve, request revision, or remove a listing from public view.
Are rejected listings deleted permanently?
Not always. Some listings may be preserved as records for safety, anti-fraud, or legal-compliance purposes.
How long does a listing stay active?
A listing stays active for 30 days. Groupvie may notify the user about 7 days and 3 days before expiry. After 30 days, the listing and related images may be automatically deleted, so the user must post again if it is still needed.
Do users have to verify upfront for risky categories?
No. The form stays simple. If needed, admins may request additional verification by email after a listing is submitted.
How do attendee approval and waiting lists work?
Organizers can choose Auto approve or Organizer approval required. With approval required, users submit a request and become Going only after approval. Organizers can choose Unlimited, Max Capacity, or Max Capacity with Waiting List. With the waiting-list option, the first eligible person in line may automatically move to Going when a place opens and receive dashboard, push, and email notifications.
What is abuse@groupvie.com for?
That address is used for internal routing of scam, spam, harassment, or harmful-content notifications. Legal or government matters may be routed to legal@groupvie.com.
How does the Global Leaderboard work?
The public leaderboard shows Top 10 Attendance, Most Active, Contributor, Organizer, and Seller rankings for the current month. Values reset at the beginning of each month. A recurring event occurrence is counted only after it has happened.
How do promotional emails work?
Users can choose to receive Groupvie newsletters and the introductory series. When enabled, the first email is scheduled about 4 days after registration and may continue about every 4 days for up to 7 emails. Users can stop them through Settings or the unsubscribe link. Essential emails may still be sent.
Are old unused accounts deleted?
Yes. A non-admin account that has not logged in for 2 years may be automatically deleted or anonymized. Deletion may be delayed when an unresolved report, dispute, payment record, investigation, fraud review, or legal need exists.
What happens when a paid membership ends or moves to a lower plan?
VIP allows 10 Group Pages, Premium 3, and Free 1. Groupvie sends advance and recovery-period notices. The user has 10 days to renew, upgrade, or back up affected content. After the deadline, pages above the new limit and their listings, event pictures, and uploaded files are permanently deleted. Free keeps the earliest default Group Page; Premium keeps the earliest three. Followers-chat access and membership-granted credits are reduced to the new plan limits. Purchased top-up credits are not removed solely because of downgrade. Permanently deleted files cannot be restored.
