Privacy Policy
Groupvie processes the data needed to operate accounts, listings, events, chat, memberships, and moderation.
Data we process
This may include name, email, username, profile photo, listing content, messages, images, payment data, browser notification data, IP address, visitor data, and other technical information reasonably needed to operate the service.
Report and evidence data
When someone submits a report, Groupvie may store the target type, report reason, details, optional reporter email, and evidence images. This information may be routed internally to admin, legal@groupvie.com, or abuse@groupvie.com depending on the issue type.
Rejected listing records
Listings that are rejected, hidden, or removed from public view may still be preserved with related files for recordkeeping, safety, dispute handling, legal compliance, and government or law-enforcement requests.
Active listing retention
Active listings are generally deleted automatically after the 30-day active period ends, including related images, unless certain data must be kept for safety, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Private profiles and private listings
Private listings and private user/group pages are not intended for public display, but they may still be accessed by authorized administrators when reasonably needed for support, security, moderation, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Why we use data
We use data to provide the service, secure the platform, moderate content, process payments, send notifications, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing data
Data may be shared with relevant technical or payment providers, or with authorities where required by law. Groupvie does not sell user personal data as a separate data product.
Promotional email preferences
Groupvie stores whether a user accepts promotional email, the promotional series step already sent, the next scheduled email time, and an unsubscribe token. This data is used only to manage newsletters/promotions and honor opt-out choices. New Google users are asked to choose after their first login.
Public leaderboard
The Global Leaderboard may process and display a user's name, profile photo, public profile link, and monthly activity score. Personal profiles set to Private are excluded from the public leaderboard. Leaderboard values reset monthly, while underlying activity records may be retained according to operational, security, and retention needs.
Your choices
You can update some account data from the dashboard. For privacy questions or data-related requests, use the available support or operator contact channel.
Inactive-account retention and deletion
Groupvie records the last login time to operate the inactive-account policy. Accounts that do not log in for 2 years may be deleted or anonymized together with related content and files. Deletion may be delayed because of a legal hold, dispute, payment record, report, security investigation, fraud prevention, authority request, or legal obligation. Required records may be limited, separated, and pseudonymized.
Membership lifecycle data
Groupvie may store the previous and new plan, membership end date, 7-day, 3-day, expiry-day and recovery-period reminder status, cleanup date, affected Group Page or chat-access counts, and adjusted membership-credit amounts. This data is used to manage benefits, provide a 10-day period for backup or upgrade, permanently remove Group Pages and files above plan limits, restrict followers-chat access, adjust credits, and prevent custom-link conflicts. Transaction, audit, security, moderation, and legal-evidence records may be retained under the retention policy even when page content is removed.
Consent records
Groupvie may retain records of cookie choices, policy acceptance, and promotional-email preferences, including the policy version, time, source, and limited technical hashes for evidence and security. Promotional-email checkboxes are not preselected, and consent can be withdrawn through Settings or an unsubscribe link.
Security, MFA, and backups
Administrator access is protected by multi-factor authentication. Application backups may be created in encrypted form and restored only by a verified administrator. Security logs, rate limits, and audit records may be retained to detect abuse and investigate incidents.
Change history
Version 2026.07 adds consent records, optional-cookie controls, administrator MFA, encrypted backups, rate limits, and updated retention documentation.
